Good Thursday Morning.
Remember that question from awhile back about lying to Tina? I must confess: I didn’t vote for who I’ve been saying I would vote for.
You lied to us… when we specifically asked you not to…?
But please… tell us more!
Cool weather ahead are you ready 😎

Question 1: For which Presidential ticket do you plan to vote this November?
Question 2: On a scale of 1 (not excited at all) to 5 (very excited), how excited are you to cast your vote?
Trump / Pence: average of 3.7
Biden / Harris: average of 4.0
Third Party: average of 4.0
Question 3: Do you believe Joe Biden has the cognitive ability to be President?
Trump / Pence
Biden / Harris
Undecided & Third Party
“Cognitive ability” I took to mean senile - to which I believe both candidates have the cognitive ability. If you were to ask about leadership ability or just “the spine” to be president ... I’d say no to both.
I think Biden currently has the cognitive capacity to be the President, but I do have concerns that he could quickly lose that capacity over the next four years. He made a solid choice in Harris, in that she's young, experienced, and capable (though much more liberal than he). I'm not thrilled with the idea of our first female President not being elected, but it certainly seems possible.
Question 4: Do you believe Donald Trump has the cognitive ability to be President?
Trump / Pence
Biden / Harris
Undecided & Third Party
could be a lot of interpretation with some of the questions today. cognitive ability currently is how i answered those two questions.
Question 5: A few members of the Tinaverse have been wondering: Have you watched "The Social Dilemma" on Netflix?
EVERYONE should watch The Social Dilemma. It. Is. TERRIFYING.
Tristan Harris, the guy behind the Social Dilemma, used to be a hero of mine. But his whole schtick now that is that Trump only won because people were manipulated by Facebook algorithms...so insulting, disappointing, and backwards. Oh well.
Question 6: Within the last six months, have you tried limiting the amount of time you spend on social media?
Thanks for the social media question. I’ve deleted Facebook and Instagram and never been happier. Pinterest is next on the list to go.
On the social media front...I've deleted Facebook from my phone, mostly because I want to still love my grandma and hate all of the nonsense and outright lies she shares. For Instagram, I put a "limit" on myself--that I frequently wind up breaking. (I was better pre-covid!)
However, regarding phone usage in general...I would HIGHLY recommend this Medium article to optimize your iPhone. It's 2 years old now, so it doesn't integrate the latest OS (although I love the app library now!), but I think a lot of valuable takeaways regardless.
Social media is a cancer. Kill it.
Question 7: Finally, one member of the Tinaverse wants to know: Is it acceptable to give trick-or-treaters coins instead of candy?
If you’re rich enough to hand out coins for Halloween, just make their day and hand out full size candy bars.
What kind of coins are you thinking about? I remember getting pennies and maybe nickels…
Giving coins out for Halloween is as dumb as giving raisins, be an American and give kids corn syrup ffs
That’s what we’re talking about!
