Good Tuesday Morning.
A request from the Tinaverse for the Tinaverse:
Could the Tina community share thoughts for how they continue to move forward and keep their thoughts positive, or what weighs them down
And last week, as we talked about raking leaves vs. using a leaf blower, one member of the Tinaverse was about to make a point about the importance of leaves, but it got cut off. Fortunately, that community member followed up with the insight:
Leaves are important for bugs and other critters which are really important for our biodiversity and plant life! Especially lightning bugs! We all love lightning bugs, right? Sorry for my initial comment fail 😂
We’ve also got some questions today, so click on the Let’s Talk button to get started.
28 days until Election Day.

Until we can get a Tina sign for your window or front lawn or a Tina bumper sticker for your car, why don’t you share Tina with a family member or friend or that one neighbor who annoys the hell out of you.

Question 1: How are you planning to vote in November?
Trump / Pence
Biden / Harris
Undecided
Third Party
Re: how you plan to vote, you should differentiate between voting in person early vs. on Election Day . Early person voting in DC where I live starts on the 27th! I plan to vote later that week.
Already sent in my vote by mail ballot! 😊
Question 3: Which party's candidates do you plan to primarily support in other races, like those for the US Senate, US House and other state and local offices?
Trump / Pence voters in the Tinaverse are, well… Republicans.
100% of Trump / Pence voters say they play to primarily support Republicans.
Biden / Harris voters in the Tinaverse are largely Democrats, but some 20% support candidates from other parties.
Over half of all Undecided voters, Third Party voters and Non-Voters in the Tinaverse lean towards the Republican Party.
Question 4: Yesterday, we asked if you'll feel comfortable gathering with family and friends around the holidays in light of the pandemic. One member of the Tinaverse asked for a follow-up: regardless of how you feel, do you plan to gather with family and friends around the holidays?
I don't intend to get together with family/friends for the holidays, but it has absolutely nothing to do with covid. These questions that are loaded to make it sound like we are making choices surrounding covid should have the option to say that it has nothing to do with covid.
There are plenty of reasons folks won’t gather with family and friends around holidays, and despite the way things sometimes feel, they all don’t have to do with COVID. When we ask this again — and we will as we get closer to the holidays — we’ll make sure to make this distinction.
Holidays will not look the same as in a regular year for me. Answering that question is somewhere between the choices. For example we won't be seeing family on thanksgiving because we would have to pick one set of parents over another, but we will see both sets of parents on different dates in December
Respect to you for having all of that figured out in… early October.
Covid or no covid, still no interest in gathering with family for the holidays. They’re the reason our egg nog is spiked.
Ouch.
As far as gatherings for the holidays, I would prefer to be with friends than family... if I’m going to be risking health and safety during a pandemic, I better at least enjoy myself.
Ouch x 2.
Question 5: Holding COVID aside, bobbing for apples is...
Bobbing for apples is pointless and stupid
I never thought about how gross bobbing for apples was until that last question
That’s why we’re here.
Question 6: On a scale of 0 (the worst) to 10 (the best), how are you doing overall?
That’s an average of 7.1, a slight increase over last week.
Make it all the way through but forget to answer today’s questions?
