Good Monday Morning. In the feedback section over the last week, many of you have been lamenting the cold, rainy, gray weather that’s been persistently hanging around much of the country this spring. I hear you. Whatever your views on UV light, I think we can all agree a little sunshine would make us all feel better.

Question 1: Do you approve or disapprove of the job Governor Phil Murphy is doing handling the response to the COVID-19 outbreak?
New Jersey residents were given the opportunity to share their thoughts on Governor Phil Murphy, and Garden Staters were broadly supportive (at almost 81% approval) of their Governor.
Murphy’s quite popular, but his approval rating still lags Cuomo’s by 10-points. If you recall from Friday’s report, over 91% of respondents approved of the job Cuomo is doing.
Question 2: How, if at all, has the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the way you view the Chinese Government?
The Chinese government has been a hot topic in the comments section since Tina launched. Interestingly, views on China are unchanged for most people, but for those whose view has changed, the change has been nearly uniformly negative.
There’s more to explore here, so there will be more questions in the days ahead.
Question 3: If your state lifted shelter-in-place orders tomorrow, would you resume normal daily activities like eating in restaurants, going to the gym or shopping (non-grocery)?
Responses like this make it clear that, while states and localities may begin to lift shelter-in-place orders, it might take some time for life to go back to “normal”.
Question 4: If the election for President were held today, for which candidate would you vote?

Question 5: On a scale of 0 (the worst) to 10 (the best), how are you feeling overall?
Here’s some good news to start off the week. The average response was 6.8, which is 0.3 points higher than last week’s sentiment tracker.
