April 29, 2020.
Good Wednesday Morning. After a brief flirtation with the sun yesterday, we’re back to April showers here in New Jersey for this penultimate day of April. I’m reminded of the proverbial “April showers bring May flowers” — and the little twist my mom liked to add to it: “And what do May flowers bring? Pilgrims.” I’ll be here all week, folks.

Question 1: What’s your favorite season?
I passionately believe that every voice deserves to be heard, but there was a correct answer for this question, and only 30.6% of you got it right.
And, please, save me the fawning over foliage, crisp days and pumpkin spice lattes. “But I love the changing seasons.” Oh, really? I love nice weather.
As Sheryl Crow sang, “I’m gonna soak up the sun”.
Question 2: Do you think at least some UFO sightings are actually alien spacecrafts visiting from other planets or galaxies?
I’m surprised. I thought there would be more UFO believers out here in Tinaland.
A sign of the times, though: the Pentagon essentially confirms that there have been unidentified flying objects that we can’t explain, and it barely cracks the headlines. While we’re on the topic, the late Charles Krauthammer’s 2011 “Are we alone in the universe?” piece — which combines math, history, philosophy, politics and more! — is worth a read.
Also worth a read is this comment from one of our users:
As far as aliens and UFOs go, I defer to the timeless wisdom of Fox Mulder: "The truth is out there" and "I want to believe." However, despite the overwhelming likelihood that there is intelligent life SOMEWHERE in the vast expanses of our Universe, I feel like an alien species with the technological capability of traveling to Earth would take one look at us and turn right the hell around.
Question 3: Have you ever personally witnessed an unidentified flying object (“UFO”) or unidentified aerial phenomena?
My biggest disappointment: none of the 6.3% of folks who answered “yes” here shared any stories about their close encounters. Come on, people. Give us the details!
Question 4: Have you ever experienced the effects of eating-related misophonia?
As someone who suffers from a severe case of misophonia, I’m relieved to know I’m not alone.
Once the quarantine ends, I may organize a Memorial Celebrity Misophonia Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race For the Cure. I hope you’ll join me.
Question 5: Which "screen" do you use the most for entertainment purposes?
We’re all addicted to our smartphones, but the TV is still the dominant screen for entertainment. That may begin to explain the struggles Quibi has had since its launch, at least with our users.
